@Eric Everstine To add to my post from last night:  If the management company is a member of GLVAR they have agreed to certain ethical standards.  

I can tell from my experience with them over the last three years that they provide an excellent service, top notch property management, and a culture within the company that is quite unusual and highly ethical.  

While there is no statutory holding period required to qualify for 1031 treatment there is a distinction between buying property as inventory with the intent to resell it (this does not qualify) and buying property with the intent to hold for productive use (this does qualify).  

Economic opponents received the same treatment along with an effort to learn how I might be able to help mitigate any economic damage my project might do themOnly after I was confident of those relationships did I even bring up the subject of the needed zoning asking for help all along the way.

Rather than the complaint being related to anything relating to treatment of property owners, the complaint seems specifically restricted to matters relating to the license application process and a lack of candor there.  

I don't think there's any excuse for this treatment.
