I am curious to hear how much demand there is in Leavenworth/Chelan area for MTRs seeing as it's a pure tourism-driven market (there are no nearby hospitals, universities, military etc that might stay for work).

STRs require more management - 1 to 2 new guests per week which involves managing 50-100 guests per year, marketing the property, managing bookings, guest communication, scheduling cleaners, higher level of maintenance (think lightbulb changes, battery changes, comforter changes, parking passes), etc. 

Batteries just don’t last long enough even on low res settings.

It's based purely on the cost/rehab unless the appraisal comes in silly low because you've spent more than the home is currently worth.
