It is hard to predict it but if you are trying, why not choose a city that has tons of jobs continuing to move there as well as a 50 year history of sustained growth.

I am a bit nervous to buy right now since the market has just climbed since 08-09... any insight, advice, predictions, sentiment?

@Kai Van Leuven I don't think we can predict what will cause the failure of any specific investment. 

Additionally, you have to be a market wizard and predict a down market for a withdrawal to even come close to making sense (and it still doesn't). 

I was hoping to organize regular inspections with my PM, but it would be nice to formalize it a bit and make predictions about upcoming major expenses. 

Lol... if only it were that easy to predict..... but such is the risk......

They couldn't time the market and predict exactly when, but it was a "for sure."
