I have done my own installation one (1) time using prefab granite slabs (purchased from Floor & Decor) and did save alot of money, but it took two full days for me and my wife to do the installation (the undermount sink took forever to cut and polish).

By it being a side entry driveway, more concrete, less grass, and I almost want to say tougher for me to resell the house if I wanted because the lack of a yard.This bothers me and they are planning to pour foundation this week...Any suggestions, what do you think about this situation?

It takes quite a bit of time to tear up, possibly repair subfloor if they just glued it to that (unless its on concrete), lay down new, and then lower base trim, toe kick, and standing door trim.
