For a couple reasons...1: I will be doing the work myself, and since I'm new to WI, I have no one to go with me.2:there are other areas of this town that are much nicer, and great deals can be had.Although this property was a great deal, I will have no problem finding other deals in safer areas.

For example, Texas has 254 Counties; however, almost every city, town, and ISDs-Independent School Districts are also able to conduct Tax Sales as well----that's in addition to the regularly scheduled Tax Sales at the county level--these properties are subject to a redemption period.

The next town over did this revitalization back in 2001 and had a HUGE impact on RE prices (above what everyone saw with the bubble)Now normally these negative cashflows screams...SELL, SELL, SELL......But these properties are both on the east coast and in areas where appreciation is expected in the next 2-5 years.

Absolutely no question about it but it would probably be somewhere closer downtown and since I don’t foresee spending more than a few weeks in town every trip - I’m sure my friends in the region and stateside will ‘help’ occupy it when I’m not there!

[[[[........There is potential there it is reasoned because of a new large airport that is being built and some other happenings....]]]]]I don't know anything about those towns, but a new large airport is not good for property values.No one wants to live anywhere near all that noise, so prices near the new airport and under the flight path will take a steep nose dive.Have you, by the way, even verified independently that there is a new airport going in?
