There is no way I could afford anything like that but I wish I could get a small percentage of ownership if I help broker a deal and see that the place is managed properly.

@Natalie Medved, take this with a grain of salt, as my wife and I only owned our Airbnb for about 18 months, but also have a close friend that manages something like 20 in the PHX area (a combo of personally owned and 3rd party for clients).We generally had luck in our furniture with the higher end Ikea, mixed with some vintage finds and some new from places like West Elm and Crate and Barrel.  

Also rereading Ravi Batra's The Great Depression of 1990, just wanted a paperback for the plane ride and it is amazing how much of it is relevant to today's economy. 

However, if you're managing your investments with a bit more tact, you will put your bonds in the IRA and your higher growth investments in the Roth which would give you differing growth rates. 

Sounds like you're in a pickle with that annoying neighbor's camera.You cannot manage your neighbor's camera, but you can add privacy protections to your pool area.

I manage over 100 STR and MTR properties (STR is not allowed currently for ADU's, but MTR is, and great way to maximize the income, unless you're using it for family or office purposes.)I recently constructed an ADU in the backyard of a property within the city from a detached garage.

From there, I'd recommend reaching out to some of the smaller property management companies in your area.

Real estate can be an excellent investment, but ensuring you can comfortably manage the payments is vital, even if you encounter negative cash flow periods.

If you structure the deal where you are a non-managing member or limited partner with no say in operations, you will be deemed passive and your income will be passive income.
