From my understanding real estate in big markets such as Chicago, Miami, LA, and NY is very difficult to make profit on because of taxes and other fees.

From my understanding, DM is most effective if you can do several rounds 3+.  

Not sure I fully understand your numbers regarding "taxes and everything" being $1046.
