Thank you this is a 1 bed apartment in a high-rise, so we don't need major fixes that are shared in the building such as HVAC, roof, moving electric/plumbing, etc.. just the items listed above.I have no relationship with vendors though I see many advertised online with reviews which I'd base my choices on.

First thing I would do is determine if it's a flip or rental, and make sure you and your partner are on the same page, as a flip will require a lot more work and attention to details.

I like HELOCs because you can pay extra but then draw that money back out as needed.If you do decide to keep the HELOC make sure you deduct it as a business expense in 2017 and not an itemized deduction for your personal residence.
