It means you probably can't fill the owner's ear full of lies or deceive them into thinking you are writing a check for the purchase.

If the last wave was echo park, highland park, atwater.. now chinatown, lincoln heights, boyle heights are the names I hear ringing out.  

Of course you have to be very conscientious if there is a tenant there who of course is missing their kabillion dollar ring after you were there... tell them to stash the family jewels.

We learned long ago The old adage for construction has always ringed true :Pick any two : Price, Quality, Service. 

This was a rough winter so that came to mind.I also had a wax ring go bad recently, but I think this volume of water would be visible.I hope that helps.
