This could include things such as addressing trip hazards, safe and sturdy fences, mold, asbestos, building code issues etc.For the outside attack, do you act with integrity, grab an uber when you drink socially, treat others with respect etc and that goes for your dependants as well.

Most likely the state where the property is located is where lawsuits would be brought if they are something for personal injury like a trip and fall or something of that nature because the “cause of action” arose in that state.
