I see Atlanta weathering this fairly well but we'll likely still see a pause/dip in the market.Honestly, there are a ton of neighborhoods/towns/suburbs of Atlanta that meet your criteria.

I think the question is what kind of weather are you looking for your househack? 

(Here are my top answers)- your have to resist the urge to think every cheap house in in the MidWest is a "good" deal- you are still working out where you'll come up with the money to invest (could be your own, but you know other people's money is good, too)- you start seeing "potential" in every house you drive past as you go about your day.So, how would you respond?

I try not to inject my own bias too much into the advice I give, but I'd say stick to regional drivable vacation and tourism dependent markets as they tend to be both affordable and accessible vacations for people, which makes them more recession resistant than big fly-to markets or metro markets.
