This whole task, other than getting the app, should take you 5 minutes or however long it will take to 3x scan your lease (more pages = longer time to scan). :) I do this whenever I have contract issues that aren't on docusign and I don't have time to meet with an agent or whathaveyou.

With a good partner, you can offload that piece of the workload to someone else while you focus on all the tasks still on your plate.

Find a filing system that works for you and a good task management system.

Chicago is an awesome city but as @Crystal Smith mentioned, it has 77 neighborhoods and each one is a bit unique so you'll definitely want to do your homework.

This is a concern with several of the electronic payment services..... they don't allow you to block someone or block partial payments etc.I don't use pay pal for rent, but i'm interested to see if you find a solution, since its not unique to PP alone

@Ricky Cassidy - I'm not aware that Anne Arundel has unique requirements within MD Code. 

I am starting to get discouraged and dont really know what my day to day tasks should consist of.

There are unique requirements for different concepts from mechanical systems, to handle the kitchen equipment, hoods, water heaters etc.

Each neighborhood has its own unique features, pros and cons and whether something is a "pro" or "con" is more subjective than objective depending on each investor.
