I use Wave for my freelance business (I'm a photographer / cinematographer) which is great, it's super easy no major accounting knowledge necessary.

Lot's of new construction going on, but people need places to stay while their houses are being built.

So far, I'm attracted to wholesaling as it seems to be both a simple entry point and a way I can stay debt free.I'm a highly mechanically minded and detailed kind of guy, so understanding property condition and data processing is of no concern for me. 

It is proving difficult to find someone with solid knowledge in both ex pat issues and real estate... 

You have the prospect of 40-50 plus years of living to go and if you stay active and take care of yourself they can be fully enjoyable and money while not guaranteeing that is helpful in that regard.
