What would you do to help resolve the difference of opinions on what "move in ready" means?

I'm not an attorney but I'd be willing to bet that since you contacted the mortgage company they are spinning their wheels pretty fast to get this resolved. 

Is there some type of community or organization that will give you comfort that you will easily be able to find the help you need, find tenants and/or resolve disputes if they come up.

I wouldn't rent or show the unit until this is resolved, to much tension.
