Personally I think the back splash made of counter top material makes the kitchen look smaller and boring (although from a standpoint of attracting buyers that may not be important if they want that feature for another reason such as if it's a status symbol type thing).Personally, I think the low sheen tiles with a small amount of color variation looks more upscale.

I'm quite confident that the funds will end up with my wife, but I suspect the account may have to lose its tax deferred status, pay the taxes due on the inherited account before the funds are received by my wife.
