For the western WA investors out there - what events/groups have you found most useful?

Personally, We ( Wife &I ) have attended ~ 5 events each & we learn something new , 

The MAREI is a great place to start networking with other investors and you can learn about all the other events happening in the area.  

My experience with airbnb is that it can be hit and miss, if there is an event in town or more busy tourist time.

We are looking for some local REI meet ups, meetings and social events.

Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.

I post it a couple of times the week before the event.  

posted on her other morris thread.. yes another Morris nightmare and out and out fraud in my mind.. this is really a Rico act event i would be looking that way if I was a lawyer and morris has made millions he is a prime target.. not all people are worth suing but this guy from all appearances would be a good bet. there are no ethics in wholesaling .. as we know most are not licensed so its just Caveat Emptar  to the 3rd power

You are buying the education, not the community.  20% of the community will do deals and be great contacts and they will insist you have the full Xtreme combo ($20,000) because they want to know you have the same access to info that they do before they will partner with you on deals.  80% of the community knows the same or less than you do and are basically beginners and hopefully they will do deals eventually.  50% of the community events are set up to teach real estate investing, and half are set up to teach you how to sell other people the real estate education.
