I’m new to the game and striving to put an effective marketing strategy together.

That said I decided it might be a good time to Stress Test my real estate portfolio, before I went on another expansion/acquisition round in a new market.

I've been working with a firm that offers legal services to real estate investors for close to a year now and have slowly become a convert to the idea of real estate, looking to dive in personally and build up a portfolio over the next several years (I am living in northern Minnesota.)Other than second-hand experience I don't know anything about real estate.

You want to help companies make financial decisions based on risk, well they are going to want you to have a lot of skin in the game to do that.

We have a rental portfolio with five kids, travel sports, and a 60+ hour a week job. 

It's a numbers game.

@AJ Dhillon I’m not as familiar with Canada but in the states I can get financing with local banks either through their commercial division or a portfolio loan that they don’t plan to sell off even without a w-2 job.

I'm working in West Tx and would love to meetup with someone who has been playing in the Lubbock area real estate game.

Assuming you have no other major obligations or constraints (i.e. family, job, finances) guiding you and could pick any place in the USA to move and build/start a real estate portfolio, which city would you start?

The only time you lose anything, is when you're out of either game.
