It has nothing to do with age.I definitely encourage you to jump in. 

I only allow dogs and actively encourage them by adding backyard fences if the house I buy doesn't have one. 

I was up all night last night thinking about this.. the crazy thing is that when the builder gave the offer, it’s the realtor and lender who are in the office that are encouraging it and saying as long as I move into the garage it meets requirements and that they see it all the time..

I would encourage you to stay closer to home now that you have the experience you do.   

I think I’m just looking for some encouragement at this point.

We routinely set our deposit amount above the rent amount intentionally, to encourage the resident to keep the place in good condition & to remind them that is separate from the rent.

A few brief conversations, mostly giving some choice words of encouragement.

One factor could be that interest rates are still low which are encouraging potential renters to buy instead.
