Surprisingly the property was just listed 2 days ago, but had not hit the websites yet.

I've found several of those, surprisingly.

On the second example -- I'd bet you might be surprised -- that one looks pretty typical, and many like it had a front room the full width, but then the back of the house was split up with joists spanning in more than one direction, and therefore several bearing walls. 

Great tip, and I'm happy I saw this post before ordering it.We ended up going with the package and the total includes shipping and tax (we actually scored an additional mail-in rebate today too, nice surprise).

I'm not saying that it's all fun and games and I would not walk around at night, but I think if you look at a neighborhood with an open mind, you will be surprised that it's mostly made up of decent people, just like the less-scary areas. 

I'm surprised anybody but a homeowner in the first year has gotten any value out of Home Shield and other similar policies.  

I'm also a Seattle investor and am surprised to see a value so low that still gets such significant renter interest.

Imagine my surprise last weekend when I went to a probate auction where around 100 people showed up and bid the price of a dilapidated 900 Sq foot shack up to almost $600,000!
