It strikes me that it would be worthwhile for ALL landlords to consider the contents of their leases, particularly to see if there is a "Force Majeure" clause contained therein. 

There are a few landmines to look out for though as most all mortgages and/or deeds of trust contain a "due-on-sale" clause that if one really needs to fully understand.

This list would contain the zip code and corresponding name of the municipality, and a breakdown of the number of SFRs.

It isn't the same as the liability containment of an LLP, but does reduce risk, and in my opinion the double taxation issue now rules out use of limited liability partnerships for Canadians investing in the US.I would be happy to hear others' opinions and interpretations of the tax rules.  

One of the findings with my home was water damage in a ceiling with possible asbestos containing insulation above it.

It contains NO "promises", just "projections" given S2A's best estimate at the time of the investment...and there is certainly no way to get a their investment out, outside of the company eventually hitting their projections (even if they are late).

This neighbor is a member of the local crime watch and I had worked with her in the past to clean up this entire street (which contained many crack houses) when we started buying properties on this street two or three years ago.

If this is the case here are a couple recommendations:- Make sure the leak is really contained.

On the bright side, the shower curtain is already in place to set up your containment area. ;)

The only list that contains that information is a credit report and those are not for sale to anyone subscribing to any service.
