Unfortunately it does have a negative connotation in folks minds which I had at first initially.To the original poster Jason - I will tell you this - do your homework when you pick a facility for your MIL - the big/flashy do not always give the best care - you can have all the amenities in the world but if you do not have happy staff, good management on site, and a host of other things in order your MIL will not receive the care she needs.

For other novice landlords out there when a rent payment does not go through and the tenant tells you "someone hacked their account" this is a lie 100% of the time and a indication you will not be receiving any more rent.

If I stopped the 2k addtl then interest would be above 100k... hope that makes sense My goal is to sell the rental in 5 years which I would receive about 100k after all the expenses etc.. and the money saved not having a mortgage payment which would put me right around 300k in 5 years.
