Should i put in hollow primed MDF prehung interior doors ($65 each) or pay double at a local surplus store and get solid pine doors that will need prime and paint?

If there was anything like a convenience store, dry cleaner, garage, etc., you want a phase 3 environmental study.Financials: get 3-years income and expense statements, monthly rent rolls, and select income tax returns. 

Talk to my dad (who is experienced in construction and repairs) to get a feel for how much upkeep/repairs would cost and/or go to Home Depot or other hardware stores to scope around and talk to people.Get a preapproval for a loan in September or October, depending on the lender.

The best thing to do in an older house where lead paint may have been used is to paint over it with an encapsulant paint (available at Home Depot/Lowes/Paint Stores) . 

So if you have a property that you depreciated down to 0 and sell it for $100K  using a 1031 exchange to purchase a $200K property you're in essence getting a fresh $100K ish of depreciation to claim. 

If you have a lot of stored cash and are looking for somewhere to park it other than the stock market or financial institution then rentals may be your choice.

But good luck because at both of those stores they are continually changing the profile of the door which makes matching almost impossible.  

Certain lots/land *require* certain types of homes (for example, two store full walk-outs vs. a rambler/ranch), soil, easements etc. and that's just the land!
