See Paul Krugman's babysitter analogy for a popular idea of how to make people spend their money by depreciating the value of it... funny thing is that they do not need to print the depreciation or expiration on the dollar when there is high inflation, most people will spend it anyways, thus increasing the velocity of money...Wise, income producing debt without too much leverage is my personal way to be prepared for this... and as stated above, when the high inflation comes, pull equity out of the property and buy.
