The 1% rule should be found only on milk cartons.

I have run a 16 unit motel as a an owner/ operator in MN. for the last 23 years and it is a lot like being a milk farmer.

Can you imagine having 4 gallons of milk in one fridge? 

Money Mustache as well.

This allows the asset to also be milked of it's equity every so often so it's not a dead asset.

So lets say you are alone walking home, with your fishnet stockings on, high heels toes painted pink, your long hair nicely in a pony tail and your mustache neatly trimmed (you weirdo) and this is a one way road you are walking on mind you.. and further up ahead you see a violent gang causing ruckus.

It recently took me 3 years - YES 3 YEARS-  to get them to do a new valuation, but then they ultimately approved my short sale and it closed.It does sound like he's been milking it, but ultimately he's better served by a sale than a foreclosure, especially if this is a deficiency state.

The ironic part is that financial stability/freedom through real estate has not changed much since then (although his mullet and mustache likely has). 

However, my experience is that around two-thirds of people who demand contract modifications for basic services like this are often a PITA and keep trying to milk you for more and more as time goes on.
