There was a flurry of furnished midterm and long term rentals available, and I suspect they were not successful so they are now trying long term rentals.

I listed my property on Furnished Finder last year but didn't get any bites.

I've had a bunch of sales calls in November with owners wanting to transition their STR to a furnished LTR because the STRs were not performing as well as they expected, or in some cases, not covering the mortgages.  

Back when I started, I saw STR investors succeed by buying any home, furnishing it with hand-me-downs and posting photos shot with a cell phone.

But remember that you have to furnish the whole place to the tee to crush it on STR in the Austin area, there is a lot of competition.
