@Matt Leonard One minor point to add to what others have said.One of the concerns expressed was running out of oil and freezing the water pipes.  

If it was me, this is where I would go start talking very seriously with a couple friends that had expressed an interest owning real estate. 

I have a friend that was doing an online business and they used their apartment for it until if got to big and they bought a house and started doing business out of the house it was all online but had delivery trucks and things coming all the time. 

I usually offer with a letter of intent that outlines 3 scenarios.Dear Seller, I would like to express my sincere interest in purchasing your rental house on x street.

Create a communication plan that includes timing for regular communication, quarterly reporting, timing of distributions, and delivery of tax documents.

Not at Delta, United, or American, but at their regional partners Delta Connection, United Express, and American Eagle. 15 years ago pilots would pay for their own training to get these jobs. 

What specific document would be needed to show that they are legitimate heirs and to express interest in selling?
