I think we pretty much agree on anything but we're commenting from different points of view.If I'm not mistaken, your retreats are focused on US investing while I'm focusing on international investing.

But to comment on that, I do understand the risks, which is why I told her I would do a deal *with* her, to mitigate her risks on a deal.

I agree with the comments here, 1 year is fine for bank statements, you essentially just want to see cash actually hitting accounts.

This does not mean your investment is insured.We often hear comments like, "We invested with XYZ because their fund / syndication is FDIC insured," (nope no its not...).To avoid these kinds of mistakes, I strongly recommend you always have an attorney review the Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) with you.
