Someone could have easily been hiding in the stairwell or could trip and fall and hurt them selves navigating the antiquated stairwell in the pitch black.When returning from the grocery store in the pitch black, i tripped on the stairs and broke about $20 worth of glass bottles and was lucky to not hurt myself. 

I use peppermint essential oil and denatured alcohol in a spray bottle.

Wallpaper removal concentrate ($6) in a spray bottle or pressurized garden sprayer. 

Probably at the bottle they can do at that point.

I have gotten Boundary Line agreements with a bottle of Makers Mark, because most neighbors are actually quite reasonable and a few feet here and there in the grand scheme of things means nothing.

@Kris Haskins,If the water is clear, it doesn't matter how much you shake the bottle, it will remain clear.

You can provide bottles of wine, passes to local breweries, or anything you can think that will leave a lasting impression.
