The city is paying landlords to lower density in central Ogden, which in the long term will alleviate many of the petty crime concerns that aren't any worse than SLC.

Found this somewhereyou need to buy this house of your as a "rental". most HML will not lend to you if the purpose is for Owner-Occupancy. they will ask you to sign a business purpose declaration, stateing that the purchace is for investment purposes, essentially alleviating them of any disclosure issues that lending to ower occ purchasers creates via Dodd-Frank.

The reduced density will alleviate a lot of the petty crime problems in those areas and as investors spruce up the neighborhood I think central ogden will begin to look and feel a lot more like the nicer parts of the city.
