The claim process has been started, and I'm looking at the SBA disaster loan programs.

Fanny Mae does have a 5% down owner occupied loan program for MF purchases.Any thoughts?

Given the recent pickup in activity, I thought this would be a good time to re-hash the agencies' small balance multifamily loan programs for future reference. 

HUD comes up with these figures by doing rent surveys with landlords, and I have participated in many of those surveys over the years at the request of the local administrator of the Section 8 program. 

I believe it's important to understand there are certainly examples of investors who succeed with the use of the section 8 rental program but there is generally an underlying thesis that leads to the success, not the section 8 program or "guaranteed rent"  in itself.

Training Programs: Establish ongoing training and development for staff to ensure they are up to date on industry trends and operational best practices.
