With the current draft legislation under consideration in the House Ways and Means committee, specifically section 138312 that will end the ability of IRAs to invest in private offerings targeting accredited investors (yes, that means syndications through Regulation D so either 506b or 506c which affects accredited and non-accredited sophisticated investors), how do LP investors & sponsors out there plan to handle this provision if it passes both chambers and is signed into law?

There is the city council committee meeting today at kcmo city hall, winvestors at plexpod today at 9 am, property shop is virtual tomorrow at 9 am.

I’m actually serving on our governmental affairs committee to help interview local politicians who are running for office, so that they align with our goals of protecting our private property rights and a multitude of other items that are of importance to us; rent control, insurance etc…Those of you out there, I implore you to get involved, participate and most importantly VOTE

Some investors have a banker that gets it out right away, others go thru in house committee before it reaches us.

Hey everyone/ anyone following Somerville stuff... so just heard that zoning changes passed in committee last night and will be voted on tomorrow by the full council but it should pass... for owner occupied units there is a lot of opportunity in the changes. 

A Denver focus committee is in the process of re-working the group home rules now, so we will see what they come up with (licensing may be in the future).
