Do you recommend I buy a house in my government name and then transfer the title to my business or just buy in my business name from the jump ?

Hi Joseph, You would need a 2 year seasoning period to qualify for a government loan (FHA) and a longer period for conventional unless you had a documented hardship situation, such as medical illness, etc where the loan can underwritten manually. 

The government's interst is in collecting taxes in a way that protects homeowner interests.

But...If the average renter is being left behind, if their income can't stay in line with the cost of living, I fear it will lead to a larger crisis and continued intervention/regulation by government.  

Generally they're not going to call your note if you've been living there for several years; they likely are reselling your loan to the government, which requires certain residency.

Nothing will start you off or build wealth for you like using a government backed loan to buy a great property in a great area. 

Hi Sam, I would highly recommend reach out to your county or city government to get accurate STR regulations before you list it on Airbnb & VRBO. 

I finally received a demand letter from a "nonprofit attorney" representing the tenant, claiming that the tenant was living in uninhabitable conditions—typical for a non-paying tenant, I guess—and now she wants to "renegotiate" the rent and keep living in the same space.She has been filing complaints with various government departments, but all the cases were minor and have been closed.
