Hi everyone,I have always been fascinated with real estate and have finally come across the Rental Property Investing book which has led me to the Bigger Pockets website.

Whether it be an area you were already familiar with due to having previously lived there or have family there, or maybe a referral that led you to that out of state market.

As previously discussed, many of these properties are overpriced due to demand exceeding the supply which has led to them being a poor investment for new investors-Especially ones not able to appropriately evaluate a deal.  

I just read Brandon Turner's book "The book on investing in real estate with no and low money down" which led me to Bigger Pockets.

I'm 30nyears old and just now restarting my life. my passion for real estate is what has led me to this forum.

From tryin g to reach his “team” to no available, to “hey we cleaned up, took photos and listed a apartment which led me to pop in on the property to see NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. same junk that was left is still there....Anyone have any good they can recommend?

I admit, I intentionally led you astray with the title of this post.

(I had reached out to them on some of their listed properties which led them to send me some off-market stuff.)For those of you considering doing the same, I did research into several dozen MSAs, looking for those that had steady employment and population growth and had recovered pretty well from the recession. 

However, after doing research that led me to this forum, I realize that company is probably not the best idea (I'm feeling like we narrowly dodged a bullet) I'm looking for legitimate and trustworthy turnkey companies that are in Michigan that any one can recommend that I can share with husband.

This brought a lot of traffic and led to multiple offers and we reached a deal at 167k.Over all this was a great experience and was a great deal to learn from and understand the process.
