My wife and I live in San Diego, CA but are mid-way through a year of travel away from our amazing but pricey So-Cal home.

That being said, it would be an awkward first year traveling back and forth to spend time with him in the home he purchased with us both in mind.A few people made great points about an FHA loan not being financially smart as a first investment.

But with the help of the BP community, I am confident that we can eventually build financial security in real estate investment.  

In looking at the Oridna Municipal Code, I found two relavant sections:  Chapter 10.52 PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES and Chapter 3.12 UNIFORM TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX.It looks like the ordinance has defined a tiny house on a trailer as: "Oversize recreational vehicle" means vehicle, other than an automobile, which is self-propelled, motorized, and has self-contained living quarters, including a kitchen, bathroom and sleeping areas, and may be used for the transportation of people upon a street or highway, but not including any vehicle designed for travel on stationary rails or tracks.

The problem is my job requires me to travel too often and for too long.  

The asking price retail is more obviously but I am fairly confident  if we could make the deal at the above price and be ok.

Once you know exactly what they will buy, it is very easy to enter into contracts confidently, because you know you can quickly sell the property.

I was single, loved to travel, and just didn't want the hassle of owning.  

This will go out to selling agent, escrow, title, and seller this evening placing all parties on notice prior to the closing date.I am confident in my legal position, not so confident that the scum will do the right thing.
