Often times by going non-local, you will expose yourself to a wider pool of CPAs allowing yourself a better chance at finding an expert in the field that meets your needs and fits your style.If you want to use a local CPA, check with your state CPA board and ask for a referral.

Hi @Mike Cesarano and @Troy S.You all may be aware of this but I want to mention it just in case.In PA if property managers will lease, list, promote for rent, and manage a property he or she must have a broker's license or be a salesperson under a broker.

I don't know what the equivalent is for real estate ("I pay cash for referrals" or "call for free estimate on how much your house is worth"), but give them a reason to hold onto your card.  

This promoted home ownership as folks looking to buy would not be subject to the balloon and term loans that term'ed out during the great depression.
