Welcome @Lisa Perez It's nice to see other Canadians investing in US real estate - even if you live in NJ now. lolI live in Toronto but invest in Chicago so I can give you a few tips about investing out of state (or out of country for that matter). 

The problem is I live literally completely across the country and I can't just go apply to jobs every other day.My plan is to do short term vacation rentals on Airbnb to help cover costs while working full time to pay it off.

After you tip the roller, it will produce high lines of that build-up make sure you quickly roll that area out in criss-cross quickly.
