My advice is to nickel and dime the repair process as much as possible. 

My goal when planning for the next tax year is to get Line 22 as close to (or over, but not excessively) the maximum ($89,250 in my case) as possible.

When we advertised it for rent in late November they had only 7 SFRs available on the entire market.

Is the interest rate, location, and possible(likely) appreciation of this home worth keeping it?

I understand it has the possibility to change yearly but I didn’t expect it to almost double what the mortgage is on the property.

@Drey Taylor We had a tenant fall asleep with a pot of grease on the stove in one of our properties, and burned the entire kitchen down along with causing significant smoke damage to the rest of the property.

To tellme that nothing is possible seems a bit far stretched.
