You would have to remove the whole thing and cap it off and once you do that, they will never let you put it back because you did it without permits.

If you are pursuing distressed homeowners -- "We Buy Houses" is a turn off for them. 

Also, there is unpaid property tax as well, will the property tax be written off or which party will be responsible for it?

Taking off of work and having over a thousand in travel expenses without a guaranteed win did not seem worth it.I talked to the credit agency and it turns out this will ding my credit for the next 7 years even though the debt is fully paid off.

Putting real estate assets into an LLC or trust are all terms I hear about but am wondering if that would be appropriate and/or necessary in this situation to off set any potential liability?
