I’ve been reading about simply scanning obituaries, crossing your info on accessors site for ownership of real estate and then contacting family but that seems like a small shot in the dark.

My husband and I are looking for recommendations for sites that do the tenant background screenings for you (criminal history, evictions, debt in collection, etc...).

I'm happy to see a fellow architect on this site.

The site is treasure trove of hand on experience and also many professionals to get where your real estate goals are.

There doesnt seem to be much activity on this site about Waynesboro. 

So much of it is about location (near tourist attractions or for business people, near a work-site), access to transit and highways, available amenities, etc.  

Since lasting relationships with people whom I can help attain business goals through funding is what I'm looking for in a social site, naturally BiggerPockets was a no-brainer for me!

Depending on the performance of the property with rent, tenants, vacancy and additional rehab costs I will determine if I will keep the property long term or turn to sell. 1031 exchanges really intrigue me so my plan is to utilize them when it makes sense.
