My mentor recommends giving a contractor no more than $300-$500 to start a job.

Finding mentors would be a good way to get started.

I have a question about the liabilities associated with private lending.If i write a personal check to a flipper as an equity partner, junior lien holder or senior lien holder. does that open doors for potential lawsuits related to that flipper and the property? 

My mentor told me that I should flip it myself since he thought it sounds like a home run. but I'd like to get opinions. 

My mentor sent me here to learn and I'm looking forward to networking and becoming a great investor.
