Why not just turn it into an apartment complex or a hotel and keep it as steady income forever instead of just selling it all at once?

It seems that I get more action from Padmapper and Zillow than Craigslist these days, and those sites usually often have non-active data (recently rented places no longer available) you can add settings for.

You're not likely to get any tax returns, or other personal financial data from the seller without a contract, certainly not without showing the ability to actually buy.
