Obviously not having to pay out of pocket for your own living expenses helps tremendously to save money to buy RE.

Speaking of pocketing more money, learning to DIY your vehicle repairs can save a tremendous amount. 

Miss the Beach tremendously and the gorgeous friends we have there but the opportunities here will provide my family with much more in the long run.

Anywhere in the Valley is a great place to invest right now - the growth is tremendous and the sheer number of people crossing the border each day at the limited number of entrance points is staggering and driving the local economies.
