Carrying cost loan (closing costs on loan and interest), utilities, etc can be written off from a tax standpoint to reduce your liability/  

The biggest problem is speed of service on claims.

It can be used as income the year after you collect if filed on tax returns and offers deductions as well to offset monies owed. 

Off the top of my head, I believe I'm paying them around 18% total commission (they charge 10% on all taxes, fees, cleaning etc).My question is - Should I relist my property now during dead season or wait until peak season?

The guest claims the lock on the door wasn't secure enough or that they yelled for help but no one came out.

Are there any tax implications or other considerations if we use this loan for our personal home project?

We had a fire/landlord policy with Norfolk and Dedham insurance, however after my last tenant and last property manager allowed my property to get into a state of severe disrepair, including water damage from a dishwasher/septic backup, which was never remediated, my insurer dropped me from coverage as a "bad risk" (we had made a claim for the water damage by the tenant).

I have a few rentals and my insurance is all coming due soon and everything went up without a claim ever on anything. 

Imagine how much tax you'd have to pay if you couldn't claim those deductions (right?
