I was just out shopping for new auto and umbrella policies, and most insurers won't write a personal umbrella that covers an STR if the underlying policy for the STR is on a commercial form -- which is the case for most good STR policies.

Been told specifically that "this loan officer here will write them"...and then you call that loan officer and they aren't even at that company anymore. 

One of the things that sucks in real estate in general is the crappy companies usually charge the same as the good companies.

Different lenders have different policies when it comes to draws.

I was thinking of purchasing a hot tub...I called local companies and can get a 220v hot tub for around 6500, or could order a "plug and play" online that is 110v.

They've decided to part ways with this company and have asked me to manage the property on their behalf.

Maybe I'll talk to a different person who knows the policy better or can explain if there are any special circumstances.
