If they do charge, this could be considered an illegal fee, or at least something that the Apartment Association and REIA try and fight and prevent as an undue burden on rental owners and landlords.

The company can fight the taxes if they feel they are unfair (at least in my area you can), however I'm guessing the company purchased the house significantly under value, and the tax base is probably more in line with value then the purchase price.An honest question.

Parking a mobile tiny home on my lot also would violate codes if someone lives in it (had a friend get one shut down for this). the tl;dr is they are cool -  I'd love to see more of them if they are done right, but you'll be fighting a zoning and land use system that hasn't caught up.

Also, in my experience with this, I see lenders that will let you work for just a few months as long as it's full time, part time it needs to be around 2 years.Also, your credit and cash seems good, so that's probably a good sign and will help a lender try to fight your case.

(It was BS but still had to lawyer up and fight it)Some speculation is that since many owners do not live in their jurisdiction and the tenants do, they are the ones that vote for them not owners that live in other areas or states.

As far as a "sweet spot" I'd say it really depends on what you're looking for... the closer you are to the city the more tenants there are fighting for your unit, BUT with that in mind the closer you are to the city the less cash flow there is.
