If you have to go outside Chicago you should stay within driving distance and you need someone local, like @Michael Henry - he also has a background as a PM and GC and knows his way around in Milwaukee.

We do a criminal background, credit check, and call past landlords.  

I've worked with her making some offers and liked working with her, though didn't end up closing on anything. bagramian23 at gmail.com.Talk to her and see if she sounds like she has the background in HUD that you need.

Another thing that's motivating, is the after-- people don't see the hard work, or know the crazy long hours you do.. but what they do know, is a gorgeous kitchen, pretty floors... it's an amazing feeling to look at a beautiful house and say "I did that!"
