It's difficult navigating the home purchase process in general, but a lot of more difficult buying something with costly surprises you didn't plan for. 

We made our offer on a small home that needs to be rehabbed in a small rural community south of Rochester and it was accepted ($55,000).

I'm fascinated with the idea of tiny homes/smaller homes (300-700ish sqft) for short term and possible long term rentals.

So we are faced with a tough choice: do we rent our home out and lose about $200 per month because of high HOA costs, OR do we sell and hopefully break even?
