Looking for recommendations for a general contractor in the Metro Detroit area.

The roof also took much longer than anticipated, in part due to a lot of rain, and also in part giving the job to the wrong contractor who also kind of took his time with it. 

When I mentioned that he said contractors and PM companies weren't doing the jobs correctly and when he did find a good contractor the state took them away for bigger money.

-Building relationships with contractors, getting estimates on potential projects (also, reading to get a general sense of ARP)I used my RIA and realtor to get referrals for contractors to work with.

I have purchased 1 sfr rental in warren MI using cash (29000) i made a ton of mistakes during the process  but it was definitely a learning experience. after about 35000 in rehab costs thanks to a bad contractor  house is now worth about 55000. not the best deal but  i did learn alot  i have my second deal under contract now. 

Relax and enjoy living in the greatest economic engine on the planet!

Either way, That's gotta be worth a few grand a month to the right 'ghost hunter' tenants who either enjoy them personally or exploit them professionally. or both. 

Make sure the contractor (PM or other) understands the terms.3.
