What is your opinion or experience by starting a tenant with a month-to-month lease instead of a full year term?

I started looking into real estate as a way to financial independence around that time and was offered to buy my first property by a family member who was looking to leave the investment world.

If you just hire the cheapest or first PMC you speak with and it turns into a bad experience, please don’t assume ALL PMC’s are bad and start trashing PMC’s in general.
