But…you’re paying $100k in discounted funds, so if the property is really worth $1million you better owe waaay more than that $100k you just gave away in taxes, otherwise skip the 1031 and keep the million in proceeds spread over several tax years.

they will not get involved with pricing,  if they got involved in pricing there would be conflict of interest obviously.Inspection report should be just guideline, but prior of receiving the report one should have general idea about the cost which one is impactful and which other one you could skip.
